Ricoh MPC 5502 and MPC 6003 comparability.

Hi. I have a few MPC 5502's out in the field and was offered a couple of newish MPC 6003 but have loads of drums and fusers in stock for the 5502's but nothing for the 6003's and wondered if the 5502 parts may fit the 6003 with a bit of fiddling or straight in even.

    Thanks for for your time.

    Tim.

Unfortunately, no parts are interchangable. They're both completely different machines.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

The ITB belt only might be usable.

Thanks guys. Would you say the machine is better than the 5502? To be honest I have had no trouble with mine. Changed the fuser once due to the creasing problem but apart from that they just keep clean and going.

The 03's still have a lot of niggles. They eat toner pumps, the dev units are shit, they squeak like a mad thing from every conceivable roller and bushing, all the finishers have weird faults and they are crap when connected to a Fiery. In my opinion keep the 5502's for as long as you can get parts for them.
