Pro 5100 Charis C1 image smear

    HI everyone,

Today I have a image quality issue with a Ricoh Pro 5100. There is a smear mark in the feed direction (see image)

Paper is 253gsm Coated Glossy one side. Customer says they have always used this stock. However this issue does not present itself on other stock (Surprise!)
Iv have Changed the fusing belt as there where score marks on it. Machine itself hasn't done much mileage.
Does anyone have any suggestions relating to this issue or is there any paper settings that I could try?

The paper need to be rated for laser printing otherwise the glossy coating can melt during fusing. This can damage the fusing belt.

Check the transfer belt unit. Look where the sensors are mounted on the top right (your right as you look at the front). Look for a mylar out of position. There are small clear mylars that become detached. This wont explain why "it only does it on this stock". I assume the customer has used the paper before and the proper settings are being used.
