    E-7000 staple ???

Have a user with a MAC OS 10.3.9 useing Indesign CS2 trying to print to a Savin 6045 with an E-7000, patched and updated. When sending the job from the app on the MAC with duplex collate staple and output to finisher shift tray, The job prints fine except the Fiery imediately shows staple cancelled and the job is not stapled(otherwise job is OK). I had Ricoh on the phone for 3/4 of the hour, no answers. Anyone got Idea's..... U12 ??

Number of pages or page size out of spec. ie: more than 50 pages or is this a metric size print job? staple used inside application or within the driver? Maybe save job reopen and try to reprint.

Is it just Indesign doing it?
Try a staple job in a PDF document.
Ran into something like this on a MAC OS 10.5 and Microsoft Word.
PDF did all it was supposed to so I knew it wasn't the machine or the printer settings on the computer.
Prove it isn't your equipment and the ball is back in their court.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

Number of pages is 12, size is letter. A power point of same # of pages will duplex and staple from a PC. I think it's a MAC thing or a job conflict with the MAC but havn't found out just what it is.
