Re: Question about machines
If you're talking A3, then mechanically they seem to work very well. We generally get life out of consumables. The warranty is good and fairly straightforward to make claims once you get the hang of their system. I've always liked their small printers and MFP's, we have a lot in our territory and they work well. My only beef, and it's fairly significant, is on the software side. I don't find them intuitive to use and we have a lot of weird issues (lock-ups, glitches, etc) that you just have to wait around for a firmware upgrade to fix. On the smaller machines that wasn't such a big deal, but when a customer invests in a larger A3 size they expect more and seem to be disappointed. That being said, they just released new 40-60 ppm black and colour machines and I have't had a chance to work with them yet. I'll be doing training on them later this year hopefully. That's my 2 cents! Why does every customer think they're the first one to ever say: "you've been here so much we should get you an office, ha, ha, ha"? -
Re: Question about machines
I only have a handfull in my territory but all are running well. I think sales got spooked when we first got them and had all sorts of software glitches and won't sell them. I heard their prices went up so it is not that much difference than a canon and I think the sales are just selling canon. My machines I just put drums in. Have a couple of customers that love them. They sent me to school on the SL-X4250 but we still have the origional two and that has been 6 months or more. For all the problems I have with Canons don't see why it would be any different than Samsung.Comment
