    Samsung muliXpress 8540

The customer complained that the images on this machine were smearing. I went out and verified that it was fuser assembly. I replaced the fuser assembly with a new one and the machine is still doing the same thing. I can remove the fuser and reinstall and the symptoms will go away. But after a day or so it starts doing the same thing. A fuser error does not come up and they are using OEM toner. I have attached an image. The problem seems to happen on different sides of the page. Sometimes it is on the left side and other times it may be on the right hand side.001[7] (1).pdf

I was going to say you might have to use a heavier paper type setting, and you still may want to try that. But that's an awfully specific pattern of cold offsetting, and my suggestion is more for full coverage print defects like that.
Do the streaks of smear stay in the same place all the time?
