[Error Code] Samsung SL-M4580FX

Morning all,

I have what may be a Samsung error code but am not sure. This code came over in the ticket I got for the device "Network Error:#31-1A06" Is this the format for a device error or am I looking in the wrong place? I did several type of internet searches and have found very little on Samsung error codes. Is there a reliable & accurate source for error code research for Samsungs?

that is an error that is not even in the manual? not sure how to guide you on this one.

Thanks for at least looking into it. I did find the answer late yesterday. One of our techs has a phone app that is linked into a Samsung database of technical stuff including error messages. Turns out that the error code is in fact a Samsung code and it is related to SMTP servers. Apparently, it means that the device cannot talk to the SMTP server.

The fix is simple, try to send again, if that doesn't work re-boot the device and then try again.

It seems to have worked when I called my customer, that is what we did and they are not happily scanning away!

A tempest in a teapot it seems......
