    [Misc] Samsung SL-M4580FX - How to disable Host USB Port

    Hello my friends:

    Does anybody know how to disable the host USB port on SL-M4580FX?

    why do you need to disable it? if you are hooked up via Enet it won't matter.

      We need to disable USB port because people shouldn't be able to connect USB memory to scan or print directly from USB flash device.

        you are talking about the port on the front of the unit? wondering why they shouldn't be allowed to?

            This is one of the times I really regret not being able to actually see the machine. I've never worked on that model, but on other manufacturer's equipment that looked like it was probably surprisingly simple.

            I guess the easiest thing to do would be to cover the USB port with something, maybe epoxy something like a piece of hard plastic over the port so that it isn't accessible.
