Open an empty filezilla and up left in the Host just write ftp.hp.com and then connect... Afterwards navigate /pub/softlib/software13/printers/SS/SL-X4300LX and good luck

just to let others know.
Unix scripts does not exist - nobody can send them. The servicemanual is incorrect/outdated. Its one single .ehd file.
I tried several files - eg the one from this thread, but it didnt work.

I found a file on hp ftp which worked. CLX_9301_9201_HDD_RECOVERY_EV11.11.13.36_FS11.01.0 0.00.55.zip

Idk why the file is in the folder of CLX-9811 ... the filename is clear.

I used this file plus the info from vigour - thank you!

Hello, the Hp's ftp site is not available. (ftp:21 & ftps:22)
Is there another way to get these files?
I'm looking for the UI file to try to solve my problem because I have a CLX-9201 that is "Firmware update in progress..."

If your UI is stuck and the printer is working just take the that UI firmware and put it on a usb after you pressed the * 0 # and let it there, eventually it will update the firmware of the touch panel. The file done the job was V5.16.00.33.00_2015022623.hd and I uploaded it here:

Hi. I don't understand your question.
In true, I got the firmwares (I posted another msg where I said I found the right link to download them), but the UI file didn't accepted by the CLX
This means that I'm not able to install a new HD.
About the original problem, I solved replacing the Operator Panel. It gone to "another life" during the upgrade to the latest version.

Recovery for the hard drive I never tried so far as in my case only the display firmware got corrupted. For sure you will find instructions in this forum if you search for clx-9201
