Samsung SCX-8030 ND Home screen hung

Have a 2 Samsung copiers same location that the screens are hung up on initializing please wait. Am i looking at hard drive or main board,
customer said they had a s1-3110 on them before they power them down and back up. I have change the usb cable with no luck, have not work on Samsung much except printers.

Hi,

Its probably a HDD issue. Should try replacing the HDD then do a full recovery. Had this once with the 8230. Replaced the HDD and now its up and running.

Can I just pick up a hard drive at Best Buy and put it in or do I have to order the Samsung hard drive I know the one I get it Best Buy will be bigger like 500 gigs

I'm not quite sure about using that HDD as I have never tried it but I can give you the Part No. for the HDD issued by Samsung
JC59-00032A (Alt: JC59-00035A).

machine has new hard drive but i don"t have the recovery software for the hard drive , can not find it on samsung website
any suggestions.
