Samsung scx-5935fn printing light

I have a few of these machines out and have not run into this problem on this model, until now.
The printed or copied image is light or washed out, similar to what you might think a bad transfer roller would cause.
I did try a known good transfer roller and 3 different good toner cartridges.
I did do the high altitude adjustment, which improved it a little.
Test printouts from the machine are also light.
I did clean the laser unit slit glass, no difference, but I also don't think it looks like laser unit cause. The words printed out are kind of broken up rather than just lighter print.
I cant see in the service manual how to darken print jobs.
Has anyone had to replace HVU for this before?

any other ideas?

Hello,

You can try this in service mode and see if this would help.

Copier_Test Routines_NVM Read/Write
110_070 LD Power Black

Change the default value to higher. You might have to max this value to see if this would help.

I tried this and it helped along with adjusting the main hv a little too it looks good now
