Clx-8640 second side cut off one inch

    Clx-8640 second side cut off one inch

    Second side cut off one inch off glass and adf. Does not vary. Has duplex motor not clutch. Single sided ok but a pdf and excell cut off. Ms word was fine. Did not try to print double sided. Is there a way to adjust second side registration? Had current software but reinstalled anyway, no change. Anyone seen this before? I have no clue. I would think one sided copy would vary if problem with registration clutch. Clx-8640. Called hp support since Samsung gone but he had no idea.

      Have you tried to do a shade test on it use a white piece of paper also possible if it a double side scanner then its probably went out of alignment. But do the shading test.

      its in tech mode and its shading test with print out

          Do you know where the shading test is? It Cuts off the second side off the glass so I do not think it is an adf problem. I can not find where to adjust second side registration.

              Fixed. End guide was not against paper showing A4 size.

                  yeah that'll do it too when people slam the drawer in the back restraint will wiggle and go off alignment! good catch.. without seeing the machine its hard to determine the real cause, but great catch.
