    Samsung C9301 hanging on logo

I have not gone to this machine yet. Was hoping someone knows what could be the issue with it.
Its just staying on the starting screen with the Samsung logo on it.

    Thanks.

Typically on that series it means you need to replace the control panel. If you can see the web browser when connected through the NIC that will confirm it.
Why does every customer think they're the first one to ever say: "you've been here so much we should get you an office, ha, ha, ha"?

Thanks seems to be the case!
Do know what goes wrong with the screen? Wonder if its a firmware issue on the screen unit.

I've never been able to recover a screen. I've tried updating f/w through the web browser but it never resolves the issue. So I can't really say what the root cause is. Samsung (unlike other manufacturers I've worked on) seems to run a dedicated operating system on their panel that is separate from the main copier OS. To me, it seems like an odd way to do things. I would think a control panel should operate like a computer monitor - just a display, not any OS. But what do I know? I'm just a field tech.

Try reload firmware first. If this not helps you need replace control panel . I got this issue on 4 machines and 3 were recovered with reloading fw (so connecting to Web interface does not mean in 100% that op need replacing), 1 printer needed control panel replacing.

Thanks. I am not familiar with Samsung. I can in return help you with Konica Minolta or Kyo manuals and firmware if its possible to help me with firmware and the flash procedure.

Tried to find the machine IP with an IP scanner(common ranges only) with no luck. The customer used USB to print and that still works. The panel is just useless. Is there a way to reset the network settings in this state or can the firmware be installed via USB or the USB printer port?

I did find a tool called SetIP. Busy checking that out now.

Wondering if its not hanging due to a network configuration issue.

i am trying my luck remotly to get the firmware loaded.
the ipset app did allow me to get the ip and i reached the syncthru page.
seems like someone changed the default admin password from the default sec00000...
anyway around that with to try a reset with no screen and no admin access on syncthru?

Password is set during first setup so if your customer does not know it (probably lost or forgot because printer was used via usb cable) then you won't be able to load firmware via web page. In this case you need replacing control panel (even from another working machine).

Thanks. Its not a common machine around here and the suppliers can not help with a replacement. My hope here lies with finding the previous owner or a used panel.

HI on the samsung displays there are a small micro sd card that has some data on it.

and you can reset the machine in service mode.
                          just pm me for details
