    [Misc] Samsung CLX-6220ND/SEE crease problem

    Hello everyone,

I have a Samsung CLX6220 that has had a paper crease problem from new, it's minor but the customer has noticed and nothing I or our other techs do seem to find a problem that's causing it.

The crease is on the trailing edge of the paper when it is delivered (face down, head towards the back of the machine) and is about the width of the seperation pad on the paper feed cassette.

We have replaced the pad, the pick up roller and the roller/guide unit that sits over the pad in the cassette, even got the needle files out and started filing. When troubleshooting the problem we stopped the paper just as it started to come out of the cassette and just after it had finished coming out of the cassette - we found NO crease.

We have then looked at the rest of the machine and found no obvious items that could logically cause a crease of this width!!!

Has anyone got any ideas or come across this as the customer is a picky one and is now causing us problems.

    Many thanks,

PS, has anyone had supply problems for this machine in getting toners etc... we have had some on order for weeks but they are only trickling in!

Can't help you with the crease issue as we've never sold one of these.

Where are you getting your toner from? We haven't run into any toner supply issues (yet), but I know others have with 8380 toner.

Here in the UK we use companies called Midwich, Beta Distribution, Vow and a few others but the problem seems to be the supplier getting the toners etc.

Samsung keep playing around with the dealer pricing as well so we are having supply issues and from one day to the next don't know what to charge the customer, very very frustrating!

Ah, ok. I know here in the states we've had a few toner backorders, but it's been on different machines at different times. I know they've changed the price on some things as well, but it's been fairly marginal.
