just the main power switch on the side by the power cord. the door switches won't kill the op panel. I have seen the op panel fail, and doing firmware incorectly will kill the machine also.

More than likely it is the main power supply/SMPS JC44-00093A - jc44-00093a samsung scx-6345 power supply smps item inc If there is no power to the fans, all the other electrical is probably fine.

The other power supply, JC44-00113A, controls the fuser.

Check electrolytic capacitors at secondary side of SMPS, there are x6 1500/35V and x3 3300uF/10V, often failure

AN36XA, you're right about those going bad. BadCaps.jpg Just replaced them with some from a company called Mouser. I too had a lifeless unit...no fans...no relays clicking... op panel dark. After replacing the bad caps unit is almost back to life except for the red status light, five muted beeps and Fuser Error on the panel. Capable now of scanning and emailing out docs; however, no ability to output to paper.

Can anyone tell/walk me through how to check the three boards: IH PBA ( JC44-00113A ) currently have no voltage on the black pair of wires going to the fuser. Is there a feedback circuit to energize?

Re: SCX 6345 No power: SOLVED

Found my problem! The previous tech had forgotten to plug in a connector to the IH PBA ( JC44-00113A ). He was unable to see the location hidden behind a vertical daughter board.

Best of luck to all who look at this thread.

Little other comment about my issue: An outside party was called into evaluate the unit, evaluated AND unplugged cable from non-defective board. To reconnect the cable would and did require about an additional 18 minuets of actual work time, HOURS of HEAD SCRATCH TIME!!! Don't you love following behind the work of someone else!
