    SCX-6345 DADF Exit Gate Sensor Jam

    Have a SCX-6345 giving us the above message (DADF Exit Gate Sensor Jam). Anyone had a similar issue? Could the sensor just be bad all of a sudden?

    Can anyone check their service webpage to see what you show the latest firmware version is? Tried using the one we access and is a little vague.

      SCX-6345N/XAA_1.03.00.88 is the latest version from GSPN. There was a time when Samsung had a rash of bad photo sensors, so yes, it may have failed all of a sudden.

              Did you ever resolve this problem? I have several of these machines and I am curios. These machines have been great, except for premature light print from I.U's.

                  No, not yet. The machine still jams with the message DADF Jam. It does also say scanner error as well. I did firmware update to 1.03.00.88 however the DADF firmware did not change. Can someone check their firmware versions so I can compare them to this machine?

                      Does anyone have an older version of the firmware for the SCX-6345 that would flash the DADF section of the machine? The two firmware files I have tried (ending in .76 and .88) do nothing to the DADF section of the machine. Has anyone had firmware cause an exit jam or cause the motor to not spin at the correct time?

                          I've looked thru the manual and it's not very helpful with your issue. One of my machines has a version 1.02 doc. feeder.Does this happen on 1-1, 1-2 0r any copy thru adf? You might try the the DADF test routines. They are the (05) series to test sensors, motors, etc. 05-150 will let you test the state of the gate sensor. Have you torn this down to clean rollers-sensors and reset the connectors?
                          Good luck and let us know what happens.

                              The issue occurs with any copy. We have run the test routines and the sensors appear to work correctly. We did have one of the motors that appeared weak as it wouldn't turn the rollers when we enabled it however we have replaced that motor to no avail. AFAIK everything has been cleaned. We really believe this is a firmware issue now but haven't figured out how to solve it. We have a sheet from last year showing this doc feed to have had version 1.02 but now shows 1.01. Not sure how or what happened when we did the initial firmware flash when trying to fix the light copy issue but something happened.
