We have sold several of these budget colour A4 printers, and have come across a few now, that have a similar symptom.
It seems to be centred around the belt unit in the fusing unit, as the bearings that the belt rollers run on, seem to disintegrate without warning, and in some instances take the belt with them as the belt creases and melts. It does seem that it is only one bearing at a time that fails - but not the same one.
Has anyone else had this happen?
We opted to replace the belt and bearings (as we did not have a fusing unit on hand to swop out, and is is again creasing the belt.
Logic would dictate that one of the rollers is not perpendicular to the other and therefore the belt is moving and creasing, but how to determine this is beyond me.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
