Wanted to reach out to those who may see this box more than me. I have only seen it a few times. Here is my scenario:
Machine called for the drum to be replaced. Customer said they turned off the machine. Next day we delivered and installed the drum. Turned on the machine and it was dead. I was asked to go look at it. Upon arrival, I turned on the machine, still dead. No fans, no op panel, just the red led on the board. Power is coming into the Power Supply. Looked at what Samsung calls a schematic, and it appears there was no 24v coming from the PS, but there was 5v. While talking to my boss over the phone, I turned on the machine and fans came on, op panel came up "initializing", then after a minute or so I heard and electrical pop. Machine dead. Now there is not 5v from the PS or 24v.
Am I looking at the schematics correctly? I'm looking at page 10-50 in the service manual. Then looking at con71 for the 24v and 5v. If this is correct, then I assume the power supply just went bad. Is this common for this model or just one of those things that happen. Again, not familiar with this model. Also, any known issues that may have caused this? Or for that matter, any input at all on this model?
I found the power supply at Iteminc.com and Precision Roller. Any other sources that you may know of?
