The machine only has 14K on the meter, makes beautiful copies and works normally in everyway, it just pop up this clean charger and gives direction to clean the charger wire. I have even replaced the whole processor unit , still have the same error message. Replaced the cpu board but used the old MSOK chip, still did not fixed the problem. The manual did no show location of black fensity sensor or how charger voltage is dedtected. My next step would be both the SMPS and the high voltage unit. anybody have ideas, much obliged!

I've had this issue, too. The only way to clear the message is to select the message on the screen, it will then bring you to another screen where you will see the cleaning message and next to it a small white icon with a question mark in it, select that question mark and follow all instructions, the final step on screen step includes pressing a "finished" button. If you don't press that the message will not clear. Also, if you don't open and close the front door the message won't clear. It's such a ridiculous way of clearing the message I made a video of it for customers because there's no way they could figure that out on their own. I spoke with Samsung about turning off the message permanently, but they said there's no way to do it because not cleaning the main charge will affect copy quality. (Yeah right! I've got machines out there with 500k or more on them that have never had main charge cleaned and they work fine!) It's just another example of how poorly designed the Samsung A3 products are. Having to run around to all my Samsung customers to clear a main charge cleaning message is ridiculous!
If you want a copy of the video feel free to message me. Hope this helps! Why does every customer think they're the first one to ever say: "you've been here so much we should get you an office, ha, ha, ha"?Comment

Re: SCX-8123 clean charger message error c3-1422
Thanks! it worked. It seems that "finish", open door, close door must be 3 steps in a row or it will not reset. Since the door must be open to do the cleaning, just closing the door after the last step will not reset the error message recorded on the MSOK chip. I closed the door after the cleaning procedure, press finish button, open door and then close door, and this time it worked. Thanks again for the info!Comment

I'm glad it worked for you. These Samsung's seem to be prone to all sorts of oddities so the more we can share with each other the easier our job becomes. Why does every customer think they're the first one to ever say: "you've been here so much we should get you an office, ha, ha, ha"?Comment

You are absolutely right! We were a Panasonic dealer for over 20 years until we took on Samsung when they wanted to go to the market as a Samsung product, they were oem for Xerox before and still is. We have seen our share of bad Panasonic machines, Given time the Samsung Product will become a real contender. Very good price point and excellent local support, though doing warranty claim is a bitch! but 36 months parts warranty on the A3 model isn't bad.Comment
