[Error Code] sammy CLX 3175 FW wont recognize the new OEM brand toners, but it does the starters.

Maybe that mfc has been "fixed" with a modified FW to use cartridges without chip's.Print a Configuration page and look at FW Version.
Starters have chip on them?
