    Samsung C-8380 light copies

Hi ,customer called with light copies mostly on black copies both print and copy. He said that the imaging units were newer. Is their any set up or calibrations that need to be done. I am a Sharp copier tech and have only worked Samsung Faxes and smaller MFP's.

The other question is whats everyone's opinion on these copiers. I do like the size of them. Are they expensive to operate?

    Thanks

I went out and looked at copier each one of the colors look good, black is all washed out. I suggested that they replace black imaging unit. It looks to me like the copier is not calling for toner. Do the sensors go bad? Or does it need to be calibrated? APT.pdf

    Thanks in advance

Check imaging unit life remaining. Last time we had 8% on black imaging unit. We replaced it (from other machine) and problem has gone.

It's a defective black imaging unit. These models are famous for that. Sometimes out of the box or shortly thereafter. Usually will be leaking developer.
