hi i work on konica copiers but several years back my boss sold a samsung to a church so i am not real familiar with them. customer called and said copies went light but waited a month to call us. i replaced toner unit but copies are still light. when it warms up it sounds like its adding toner but i get a couple double clicks like a bad tooth on a gear. i would assume it would be toner motor but confused why after a month the copies have not gotten any lighter than they were a month ago. if you set it all the way dark it only makes a small difference. it is a toner/developer all in one isnt it? any ideas

Re: samsung 6545 light copy
The toner is just a cartridge. There is a separate imaging unit that contains the drum and dev assembly. They quite often fail prematurely, so my guess would be to replace that first. Why does every customer think they're the first one to ever say: "you've been here so much we should get you an office, ha, ha, ha"? -

Re: samsung 6545 light copy
Ive had a Few machines with the same issue. All of the imaging units were between 47-50%. Yield should be 80K. Job duty should be 2 pages per job. Replacing the imaging unit has fixed it every time.
Part# SCX-R6555A.
Good luck!Comment
