[Jamming] Sharp MX 2300 Jams at transfer Belt

This problem is by far "throwing me under the bus" I have replaced the transfer belt and belt drive gear. Checked the sensors. At this point I believe the problem is in the Main Drive assembly. I pushed on the shaft to the drive gear and it started turning and working. I ran out of time troubleshooting today but anyone have an Idea where in the main drive the problem is. I have looked at the parts diagram thinking I would find a clutch but all I see is a shaft. Any help would be very helpful....

Is this for the primary or secondary belt?
And where does it on the belt?

It is on the primary belt and the belt is not turning at all. The paper is not going past the belt. It fan folds just before the belt. Thanks so much for your response.

If you were able to make the belt move by pushing on the drive shaft, you may have worn bushings. It would be best to replace the whole main drive unit, rather than parts.
If memory serves me right there was mods for the drive unit, but I could be wrong.

The ITB Main drive shafts give out on this model. You have to remove every thing from the back of the machine.
It's a major job to disassemble the machine ,drive cluster/ gearbox and rebuild. Run a sim-motor test to make sure of the fault first. The ITB would make a random clunk sound as the drive shaft wore out.

You'll require two people to juggle the gearbox cases back together...

The drive unit looks like a pain to replace but it really isn't all that bad.

I spent two and a half hours rebuilding one of these drive packs and making sure it worked properly only to have the customer buy a new machine that very same afternoon... I died a little inside.

I would suggest replacing rather than repairing drive unit. Stupid question but have you checked fuser for flat spots?

Not a stupid question at all... I did check for that... I changed the Transfer belt drive gear and transfer belt. (The runners in the belt wrapped up into the drive) It turned out to break the drive gear on the primary an the shaft gear in the drive assembly. I did change the drive gear in the main drive "box" and the bearings, it was busted.... took about 4 hours. Not hard just time consuming. Customer is running great now...
