[Error Code] MX 2610 error L4-31

This one hasn't been a big problem, but it's come back twice now. On an MX2610 I got the L4-31 code a couple of months ago. Went on site and both fans were working after resetting Sim 14. This took care of it both times, but I assume there must be a problem of some kind in there. I see there is a bulletin for the MX 2600 where the PTC was causing a false L4-31. I know the MX2616 has a different PTC, but you never know. I don't see anything for the newer machines, but was wondering if they might be having the same problem. Has anyone seen this and found a solution? I know that charge units can cause some weird problem, or at least have in the past. Any ideas would be appreciated.
I know I should be ashamed of myself. Strangely though, I am not.

I encountered the same problem, intermittent L4-31. Reset the trouble after a couple of weeks it return back. When i replace the 2 fan motors the problem resolve.

I found a sliver of paper caught in a MX-363 fan. Did you pull out the assembly and look at the fans?

I pulled both out and watched them run for quite a while after resetting the code. Both looked and operated normally. Smooth and quiet.
