I do not know of a sim to add mono button but what you could do is register a Program on home screen with desired scan settings so when they press icon scan will open up with settings you registered then they would just have to choose name from address book .

I am not aware of any Sim that does that. I wish it still had that functionality. Below is our work-around.

My suggestion is to make a "program" that defaults the scan settings to Mono2 and save it to the Home page. You could call that one "B&W Scan" and also have a regular "Scan" button as well.

      To do it:
      1. Go into the regular scan and change your settings (Color Mode->Mono2)
      2. Press Program Registration - Register Current Settings from the action panel
      3. Choose an unused program number/slot and give it a name
      4. Press the Register for Home button and enter in admin password to finish
      5. You can then move or rename that button however you wish

To move or rename the icon, you can do it at the display or through the web page (System Settings->Operation Settings-Home Screen Settings). If through the webpage, for the button, choose Image Send->Program and then choose the program from the dropdown menu.

      Good luck.

        hey
thanx for the answers. i know i can make a progam button , but once you scanned with those buttons they seem to go back to default settings and you have to leave and open it again , instead of sending the next set of papers .

There should be a checkbox entitled "Hold settings for a while after scanning has been completed" in System Settings->Image Send Settings->Operation Settings. Check that and it should keep the current settings.

I believe that the length of time that it holds the settings is set by Auto Clear Setting found in System Settings->Operation Settings. I haven't had the time to confirm this, but I believe it is correct.
