    MX-4111N admin password reset

This machine has the data security kit, so you can not use sim 24-30 Used to initialize the administrator password or sim 24-31 Used to initialize the service mode (Web page) password. I have reformatted the hard drive 3 times, and it still wont return it to admin. I dont have one without the data security chips to try and see if that would return it to admin.

    Anybody have any others suggestions

Try removing the security kit. Take out the the security board from the PCU. Turn the boot switch SDBOOT to the ON position. Boot up the MFP. Sim 24-31 should be accessible. After changing the password reinsert data security and switch back SDBOOT to OFF position.

Is there more than one dip switch on that board? If so, witch one is it?

Two large ones each by themselves. And one double one next to serial port. Flip the one of the double ones opposite of the serial port.
