Am I the only one that is having issues with the SD Cards - mostly in the MXM264N's, no Hard Drive. I have had about four changes that I have had to make in the last year. Usually last about six-months new that they go bad.

Re: Sharp SD Cards
Out of 50ea MX-M264N copiers we are fortunate to only have one with SD card issues. SN 35015069. Perhaps list your SN's and see if they were mfg'd together.
History:
2/7/14 Sold
4/21/14 U2-05 reset
8/28/14 U2-05 SD card replaced
9/10/14 U2-05 SD card replaced
6/22/15 Print control pwb replaced
8/27/15 Locked up, SD card replaced
10/5/15 E7-07, U2-05 Copier picked up and new M264N installed.
I have been told that Sharp is working on a solution.Comment

Re: Sharp SD Cards
We've had a ton fail as well. Our practice is to put in the HDD kit (with its associated SD card) once the original SD card (HDD-less version) fails.
We also don't sell any more 264s without putting in the HDD kit.Comment

Re: Sharp SD Cards
We have had a few MXM264's fail as well. Machine gave a ARM9PRG code. The guy at Sharp Canada commented that there seems to be a rash of these failing.Evil will always triumph because good is dumb.Comment

Re: Sharp SD Cards
Same here. Luckily we had a ton of hospital machines that needed security kit sd cards so we kept the originals. We've had numerous machines throw an error for bad sd cards. At least you can slap a new one in there and get on about your business.Comment

Re: Sharp SD Cards
We've had a few of these go bad in machines without HDD's as well. What symptoms have you experienced? I currently have an MX-M264N that copies fine but prints very light. I've checked the admin settings, firmware levels and all the switch settings against a machine at the same location and they all match up fine. I've printed directly from my laptop to eliminate a network or driver issue....I'm stumped. Has anyone else experienced light prints (but not copies) with a bad SD Card?Comment
