MX2640 printing Sliw

I have a 2640 in an office where everyone uses Macs, it's wired into the network and everything is fine until anyone prints a PowerPoint document and then it can take up to 5 or so minutes before it prints out. It's only a 3mb document. I'm sure it's a office 11 and Mac issue but wanted to ask if anyone had come across this?

Are they printing multiple sets? When printing larger documents from a Mac and you have collating on it sends each set individually. Just watch the print queue as it's sending. I had a customer print a single .jpg photo that was around 4 MB but they needed 10 copies of it printed. With Collating on it took the job about 20 seconds per page to print. With collating off it sent the job one time and printed it at normal speed. I realize that it may not be ideal having a document that has multiple pages print uncollated instead of collated but it may be worth a try to see if it makes any difference.
