Hello,
I have this odd case of an MX-5001N that "squishes" text randomly (about every 3-5 pages or so), but always down the page in a straight line vertically down the pags. Oddly enough, when paper is fed in lengthwise (8.5 x 11 L as opposed to of widthwise), the "squishing" occurs horizontally across the page.
To get a better idea of why I am describing here, take a look at the samples here: Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet
Any help you could lend would be appreciated. I doubt this is a drum issue as the issue does not repeat at consistent points along the page. My hunch is on the Secondary Transfer Unit (bad gear or transfer belt?), but I am not sure. I also do not think it is developer related as the issue occurs in a straight line.
