    Sharp MX2600 scan to folder??

Can anyone tell me whether there's an issue with scanning from a mx2600 to Windows 8.1 or 10?

3 w7 PCs scan perfectly, but 2 w8.1 and 1 w10 will not scan with CE-00 error every time.

I've used Sharpdesk as a workaround but the customer would prefer not to use additional software.

I'm wondering if it's a security certificate issue??

I did so, added the everyone group and gave it read/write permissions. No good.

I've checked the settings on the w7 machine and the w10 machine and they are identical but the machine will not scan to the w10 machine.

Going to the watch firewall settings of the the computer and disable them and Try sending the Scan again. If not if they have an IT guy see if they can make the ports available ran into this problem the other day

Win 8.1 and 10 can use an email address as login, so check that. Also, Win 10 can use a PIN, but not from outside the PC as would be the case in scanning. Also if the network is set as Public or Private, but I would think Sharpdesk would fail in that case. And of course, the Advanced Sharing Settings for enabling password protected sharing, file and printer sharing, etc.
You should be able to browse to the folder from another computer (or from the sharp?). You'll find your true* folder path and what login credentials work.
*If anyone ever has changed the user account name on the PC (as opposed to creating a new user account, as they should do), the folder path can get fouled up - you may see the previous user name in the file path, or have to use the old user name as login and the password from the new user. No kidding.
Capitalization counts too. Er, I mean it's case sensitive.

Re: Sharp MX2600 scan to folder??

I just battled with the very same issue the customer has a win8-upgraded to win10 and scan to smb folder stopped working.
I found that creating a new user with a password with admin rights and attaching the profile to the scan folder under share and also advance share permissions by typing the user name then hitting check names it will attach the admin domain and apply to the scan file folder with full permissions.
Once you have done this then you will type windows firewall in task bar and disable for a test to see if it works. sometimes this firewall is being controlled by another virus protection software which you have to give allowances for the smb inbound and outbound ports with the ip address of the copier assignment.
Also I found if there is a domain issue you have to use the ip address of the computer as the computer name in the file path instead of the computer name and sometimes this will fix it as well. For instance {\\192.168.1.102\SCANS} EXAMPLE. If this works you have to set a static ip on that work station so it does not reassign a new ip at startup. This would involve talking to the IT PROFESSIONAL who does there network.
I did not go into detail on how to add a new user for scan folder on the web browser because you should already be doing that if its not working.
                  GOOD LUCK
