[Error Code] Sharp MX-2700n with error code E7-11

Hello

This machine shows error code E7-11. I replaced scanner unit (from another machine) but this error is still displayed. Lamp unit (lamp works) move left then back to the home position, move left again and back to the home position and then error appears.
What next should I replace?

you have to replace the scanner controller board (scu pwb) . its located on top of the back cover.

SCU PWB has got memory. Should I replace it too or use old one (from the machine with error E7-11)? I would like to avoid different errors.

ok . you need to replace those memory modules as well . Try to find the modified SCU PWB if possible. Good luck

make sure to swap the eeprom from the old scu pwb to the new one.

I replaced SCU PWB + Memory and it solved this problem. thanks drowranger for your help.

This used to be a white level failure did you clean the strip under the edge if the glass, I don't know if the slit glass still has those white ends. I'd check it beings as the other scanner is getting the same failure. Can you make a copy from the glass? That code used to only come up when using the feeder.
