I had a problem like this once, i strongly think you should change the cyan toner, you will not notice the change immediately unless you put a small amount of the new toner directly to the developer unit and try printing a couple of copies. It worked for me, hope it will work for you too.

I have not been back to the machine yet. I called Sharp tech support, they just said it must be a cleaning blade and acted annoyed. I ordered a transfer belt and it came today.

I'm going back with the transfer belt and do more troubleshooting. Since it didn't help in your case, I'm not expecting it to work either. But I just want to rule it out before going further. Also the transfer belt being the problem does not line up with the symptoms anyway.

My biggest concern is why there is a partial black image on a single (cyan) color print. The black partial image would have to be on the black drum and transfer to the transfer belt.

The LSU crossed my mind. I was hoping there would be a connection with the cyan/black in the LSU. But the tech manual says it uses 2 LEDs per color. And each color has it's own set of LEDs. So the LSU is not using the same LEDs for Cyan/Black.

Not yet, I ended up having jury duty for most of last week. I'll hoping to get back there tomorrow with a transfer belt and try 50-22 etc.

Aren't you the OP, if so did you find a fix for your machine?

We are going to change the discharge led in case it's not bright enough, Sharp tech also suggested swapping the Lsu to eliminate that if it isn't the led
Should be done by end of play tomorrow

Nope, I had a bunch of new machines to deliver and have not been back to the machine (remote area). I have a loaner in place so it's buying me some time.

I'm planning another go around for tomorrow morning. I wish I had another main board for the machine. It's really the only thing that could cause the symptoms.

I'll let you know if any magic happens tomorrow.

LSU fixed it here too.

I sent the LSU to Hytec Repair in Orlando, FL. About $350 for the repair, about $800 for replacement. They turned the repair around within 2 business days. I'm very happy with their service.
