    MX-C401, L4-16 code...

I've read elsewhere on these boards that this is a Fuser issue, but I have not been to the customer yet. What is the exact procedure to RESET the error? I can't find this model in the Intravias guide. And, is the Fuser the ONLY issue here? Or could there be something else? Thanks in advance!

These fusers have caused issues for us on a consistent basis. They have issues with the pressure release cam mechanism, the sensor and sensor levers break. Sharp has upgraded parts for these newer models, but they still break.
I replace the fuser with a back-up fuser at the customers local, and repair the other fuser at the shop.
Replace the fusing pressure release sensor, and replace the sensor levers.

btw, we have to do this every 30k

Fuser pressure release trouble. There are a couple updated parts that are probably needed. You can probably search it. These fusers aren't too great.

Just had one today that blew up the fuser drive gear on the swing plate. Fusers are junk on these frames.

4 or 5 small parts of the pressure release including the sensor can cause the L4-16 once you do it it becomes easy and you can carry the parts in car stock

I also agree these fusers are junk!!!! Even with the updates its a 50/50 chance it will repeat with the L4-16.
These fusers fail so much we have a separate box in parts room just for these issues in rebuilding the oneways and the lever mechanism with the cam and sensors.
I have found that the ratchet one ways have been the main failure one on the lever by the cam and one at the left side frame through the shaft.
If you release the tension on the fuser on both sides you can pop off the e-clip at the left side and slide the oneway to the right to clean it with alcohol and scotch brite the shaft. Also the bearing needs to be crimped back into the seat it works its way out of the plastic seat. Out side of replacing everything on that shaft which is not fun to do cause of all the pins, you have to take a picture before you start to get it all lined up right and lay it out in order you pulled it off so you don't skip a step.
I would also suggest biting the bullet and buying a couple of new units so you can rebuild out of customer office at the shop or at your house.
            GOOD LUCK
