[Misc] Sharp MX 7001N Color calabration

    Hello and good day,
I was hopping that some might give me the some simulations to be used to adjust the color on this machine. the color it produces seems it could be better and also the image shifts sometimes on the finished print or copy. Might there be a simulation to clean the drums or the transfer belt?

    Thank You
    Glen

Make sure the belts and drum units are in good condition and below their yield counts.

If you need to make color adjustments...
Adjustment 22 in the service manual has a good flow chart to walk you through copy color/density adjustments.
Adjustment 23 is the print color/density adjustment and it has the same type of useful flowchart.
Just go by the book, I don't think its worth getting to far into the weeds here.

If the colors are not aligned, try the LSU skew adjustment SIM 61-04. Again, follow the procedure in the book.
    Good luck to you.

Also, if the alignment of the colors are off, check the primary transfer belt drive gear for any cracks, as this will cause color alignment issues.

Not sure if the pantone color files are loaded the belt does not have a scratch on it and the drums look pretty good no scratches on them either. It seems that the prints are coming out looking a little wavy please see attached file. Also the PDF you sent over will not open..

Re: Sharp MX 7001N Color calabration

you need to download the Pantone LUT from the Sharp website... you need to access the MFP's SERVICE web page to put them on the machine...just follow the steps I posted...you can check to see if the tables are already loaded...it's not very hard at all... but after looking at the file you posted, it probably isn't gonna solve your problem...the adjustment section of the service manual is where you need to start...

Do you think I might need to change the developer? if so what are the steps in simulation and do I need to have the toner cartridges out I know on some sharps that needs to be done? The machine only has 73400 color prints..

yes...developer change should help...make sure everything is clean (including all the charger assy's) and calibrated... clear the developer counter in sim 24 and set the dev in sim 25-2... then run 44-2; 44-6; 44-26; 46-74... do try to set the developer with toner OUT of the machine...

Did you look at the PDF I enclosed? The colors are fine however it looks like the fuser roller is making waves on the document while it rolls through. Also I could not find sim 46-74 It might be as simple as a worn out roller in the fuser??? any thoughts
                        Thank You,

                          dwarf,

Did you get my last message about maybe its the fuse unit do to the fact the color looks fine and it looks like the rolling of the fuser is causing the waves on the print.. and did u see the PDF i scanned to you it makes scence. also i could not find a sim 44-75 doesn't go that high

Looking at the PDF that you posted, I notice 2 very obvious lines going long ways on all the prints. They show up at different places on each page. Something is worn-out. It could be the Fuser rollers. Should be easy to see if they are worn out, make sure the heat and pressure rollers are smooth and not deformed or wrinkled.

If you want to be sure, you could always stop the machine right before the copy gets to the fuser and check the quality.
If the copy looks good, just bypass the fuser, problem solved.
