Sharp 4101 error : main cyan front 61

Hi,

I replaced the cyan drum and ran 50-22. I got an registration error. I then ran 50-20 to set all as default and did 50-22 again. I also checked the primary belt gear but still keep getting the main cyan front 61 error.


Does anyone got any ideas?

I would swap the drum with another drum doesn't matter they are the same if you get the same error.then I would do the laser skew and drum phase adj. good luck.The adj is in the service manual adj.6 and 7.

I did swap the cyan drum with the magenta drum and still got the same error on cyan front

(check your transfer rollers and other rollers in transfer belt unit. had one with roller popped out of its collar and had some with bad transfer roller.

run a sky shot in single color copy mode , picking cyan, you should notice poor fill along the front side of copy, causes are the transfer belt unit (see above), drum, developer unit and /or lsu unit probably dirty.

Might seem odd, but check the Cyan Developer unit also. If there's something causing the dev roller to not fill properly, it won't print the test pattern on the TB properly and throw this error also.

When I have had that problem running the 50-22, it sometimes is an indication that the developer itself is old and needs to be changed

you may want to play with the cyan adjustment screw...turn it one or two clicks in one direction and then run 50-22 again...repeat this in the same direction a few times, making note of the change in error code...if it doesn't work, go back to the starting point and then try going in the other direction a few times...I can't say it will work for sure, but I got rid of a red letter code by doing this exact thing... you have to play it by ear as to how many clicks you move the screw in each direction before you declare success or failure...

True story. If the skew is too far off it will throw this error too.

I wanted to say that it was indeed the cyan developer. We replaced the developer and it worked again.
