    MX-M453N - How To Help

    Hello,

I work at a school and quite often we send home one page flyers or notes to the parents. We print out 500+ copies and then have to count out and sort 21 per class. Is there a way to have the copier print 504 copies of one page, but sort them into stacks of 21?

I'm sorry if this has been asked or addressed before. I looked in the manual and couldn't find anything and tried to search for it with no luck.

Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

In the copier settings you'll see Sort/Group. Verify it's on Sort and make sure the "Offset" box is checked. The machine has built-in offsetting that will shift each stack a bit to help separate them.

I don't think it's going to be that simple.
I think they are looking to put one paper on the glass or through the ADF and have say 60 sets of 20 come out.
Seems like a feature that would be better supported, but it's a little cumbersome. You will have to use the Job Build feature. Scan the original. Do that 19 more times. Then make 60 copies.

A work around would be printing out 20 originals and putting them in the ADF and making 60 copies. Honestly, messing with the job builder is confusing and will require lots of time standing in front of the machine wondering what to do next(not a time saver).

      Hope I clarified something.

I think what you are doing is you have 21 students per classroom. Make as many originals as you have classrooms. Select offset. Put originals in doc.feeder. Make 21 copies of each original. Each set will be offset if I am understanding the question correctly. I don't have that model handy but I think this is what you are trying to do.

What application is the original document created with? If possible create original document with 21 pages......... Page 1 and insert 20 copies of page 1. This will create a 21 page set all the same.

Send this doc to printer QTY 24 sets. This should give you 24 offset stacks of 21 for total of 504
