    Accounting code import on Sharp

    Hello Everyone,

This is my first post so please go lightly . I've searched and cannot find anything on this anywhere. I had a Sharp 3116 delivered to a customers office to replace a Xerox. They used over 1500 accounting codes and i'm hoping there is some way to import these into the Sharp.

I've tried exporting the user registration file from the Sharp and copying and pasting some information information into this .csv file. When I tried to import this it didn't work. I'm assuming because there's some encrypted things in there.

Anyone ever come across this or know of a method to get these imported?

Thanks for any help in advance.

I have not seen any way to import account codes.

But look on the bright side, you won't have to re enter 1500+ accounts, I believe the 3116 only accommodates 1000

Ouch. I just looked up the specs and you're right, only supports 1,000. Their Sales guy has got some explaining to do. Guess I better get to typing those in myself. Thanks.

I just double checked all available sharp software, I don't see or know of anyway to move account codes other than Sharp to Sharp.

I've wrestled many times with the address utility, but never had to move account codes, manufacture X to sharp.

        Interesting problem

Just wanted to add a little more info. on this. The Sharp Engineer mentioned Sharp is working on a software based application for these types of situations. They said it should be available in the near future.

Can you export the original codes to CSV format?
