I have a MXFNX9 finisher on a MXM363u no matter which direction nor size of paper you copy it will jam on second page with paper half out of the finisher exit. The jam is FPPD1_S which comes up as a sensor in the Three hole punch. Problem is I have no three hole punch unit on this machine. Have replaced the PWB control Board and the exit sensor. Hope some one has another idea.

Re: Mxfnx9 jams second page every time
The machine thinks there is a hole punch installed, that's the problem.
Look under system information and see what finisher the machine thinks is installed.
I would just check 22-2 and expect to see MX-PNX1 instead of MX-FNX9
Very strange.
Try updating the firmware. -
Re: Mxfnx9 jams second page every time
Check . the FED sensor(inlet sensor for inner finisher) also check bulletins for inner finisher fnx9, I think there was some changes to the inlet guide also (may have been older inner finisher.
FPPD1_S Finisher inlet port remaining
JAM
Inne finisher: FED ON: FED does not turn OFF within the specified time.

Re: Mxfnx9 jams second page every time
I only solved FPDD jam twice. Once it was the FJPD sensor, which was attached to the stapler unit itself. Seco d time was the FSTPD sensor, which is the sensor with the large actuator at the exit.Comment

Re: Mxfnx9 jams second page every time
The unit that moves up and down on exit, FRONT BUNCH ROLLER. There is two one towards front one towards rear. the front one can develop play and hang lower causing pages not to exit properly.
Really worth a look.Comment

Re: Mxfnx9 jams second page every time
CCE1098-MFP-TB-688.pdf had that issue on a fnx9 , the rear side was hanging down , when paper came through, the rear side of the bunch roller would contact paper and cause jam. the bulletin corrected this problem,Comment

Re: Mxfnx9 jams second page every time
Thanks for all the help three of us looked at the finisher installed on a different machine and found multiple problems all of which could have contributed to the problem
1. Pin bent in stapler home position sensor.
2. White plastic piece stopping stapler about 7 inches into the machine at power up.
3. Stapler rails dusty cleaned and lubed them.Comment
