MX-2640N Black Copy/Print lost Quality - Gradient Image

Hi guys, Thank you in advance for your help with this.

We've been working on a MX-2640N MFP that is having gradient image and lost quality only in black, when we use full color copies/prints there is no problem, so when we use pure black there is this situation, the machine starts fresh doing the work right, but with use the quality starts to drop...if we let it rest for some minutes then it fixes and then start over failing...

We have the firmware up to date and also we have tried changing LSU, Full Process (Drum, MC Unit, Developer, CL Blade), we have changed High Voltage PWB, AC/DC PWB...so we are running out of ideas...what is left to us is to change the MFP PWB in case there could be a logical problem causing this...Hope you could help us out.

    Thanks for your support

You didn't mention the Primary Transfer Unit - jam the machine midway, and check if the image is there or not.

Are the DV unit levels good? Did you try new toner?

I don't know what that example is supposed to look like. Can you provide a good sample?

Run the machine with the front door open and check the cam position of the primary transfer belt as it cams the rollers up and down, I have had the clutch lag before now which in turn causes poor transfer, and you could see the up/down position of the cam was in the incorrect position.

There are two clutches that control the position of the transfer belt during printing. One for color and the other for black and white, and what you described sounds as if the one that controls the black and white position is slipping.

Hi, yeah we have replaced the Developer with a new charge, and even swap units.

                      Thanks!

Hi, we've already checked the drum, MC Unit and Cleaning Blade, even swapped components.

Hi, DV levels are good, we already replaced the developer thinking it could be contaminated.
