[Misc] reset admin code mx-2610

I'm refurbishing an off lease mx-2610, but I'm having issues resetting the admin code back to stock (admin). It isnt working the same as the older mx models. Any tips?

Have you tried SIM 24-31?

I forgot to mention that this unit has a DSK. I know, pretty important info when it comes to resetting a password.

You have to flip a dip switch on a board, then the machine comes up and lets you reset admin code by reformatting. Sorry I don't know exact location on the two tiny dip switches on this machine.

I believe with the data security kit that you have a real problem there. I dont know that the switches on the mfp board will help. Sorry. When I needed help resetting the password in one of these that was the first question I was asked.

I figured out what i was doing wrong. Once I reached the screen calibration screen I was hitting all four corners. That over rode the code reset. Thank you all for your help.

Calibrating the screen helped you to reset the admin password?

When you use the dip switch to reset password there are four small +. One in each corner. If you tap all four it calibrates touch screen. Tap only the left hand ones and code reset.
