Sharp MX-C311 copies good prints very faded

I don't understand why the copies are really good BUT prints from PCs or prints from USB are very faded. Has anyone seen something like this?

I have not seen the symptom, but heard there is a memory chip for copies, and one for printing. I would first clean contacts of memory, and, of course, reseat them.

Sharp Tech Support told me about Technical Tip TT_051915_3 which is for the MX-2615N/2616N/3115N/3116N series but has the same symptoms of copies are fine but prints are faded. Run 67-31 to reset and check with 67-33. Worked for me on a MX-C311.

I've been having the same issue with the 5111n. I wonder if this will help

I've used it twice when nothing else seems to work and it fixed the issues.
          Your experience may vary.

Check sd card. Replace if you can

If this is a machine that another tech maybe changed some settings on or the user has changed the exposure settings defaults on then I would do a auto calibration in the system settings,
on both the copy and print modes. If this don't help then set the machine back to the factory defaults. I am having to do this more often as this series has been in the field for awhile.
              Hope this helps. Dan

My 5111 had all set to zero

Exposure settings at zero? I believe defaults are at 500; best to start from scratch with a full calibration and adjustments.
