    [Misc] B402 doc feed

Does anybody know if there is a way to get to sppd2 in the mx-b402's doc feed without dissembling the entire thing? First machine I have seen sppd2 flag pop out and let me tell you, it was an absolute nightmare. Not to mention the 8 people who came up to me and asked what was wrong with their new machine while I was balls deep in gears. Not fun lol.

That is a nightmare of a doc feed to repair; things are tightly fit - I've seen a connector slightly askew between the feeder and DF main pwb cause all sorts of errors/jam codes. Check that first.

I was working in that Doc feeder the other day. I would also like to know if there is a good guide for dissembling this catastrophe.

You have to go by the service manual until you do it a couple of times then you 'learn' the shortcuts.

Yeah I'm in a good habit of using my manuals right away from my time in the air-force. It's just one of those unfortunate situations where the manuals falls short of the massive disassembly required.

They are a pain to take apart and from my experience, you only can break them down so far.
The whole unit for dealers is $187.98. Part # 0PZ040001796B.
Some items are just worth replacing unit.

I didn't realize they were so cheap. You're right, it's not really worth putting hours of labor into unfortunately.

Luckily because this machine was brand new sharp warrantied the entire doc feed.
