Another one of are tech's reported same thing, after updating scanning no longer worked, guess it's best to do a backup first?

I had a similar thing happen on the 3070 firmware. I went from ver 2 to 4. Network folder scanning stopped. When the firmware was at ver 2, I did not have to put the domain as part of the username. After flashing to ver 4, the scanning stopped. The fix for me was to add the domain to the username for authentication.

So what I'm hearing here is don't update FW unless I have to until there is a stable release?

In my case, I should have had to enter the domain in the username field. Normally, if you are part of a domain you have to. They fixed it on this update.

Sharp recommends rebooting the machine by the main power switch before the update because something my be running in the background? I always just remove network and fax line, then reboot and load firmware. Never had an issue.
