Sharp MXM623N L3-00 Scanner Error

This L3-00 code has been off and on with this machine that has reached a million pages. I've replaced the scanner flat cable (the one that is attached directly to the scanner under the glass) and updated the firmware to ICU MAIN 04.04.d3.

Any other tips on this one?

Have you already cleaned and greased scanner rails and cleaned the home sensor?

Thanks for the response. I did clean and greased the rails and took a few shots of canned air to the home position sensor, thanks. Its working for now, we'll see if it comes back.

Scan cables look kinda brown in some areas, sorta discolored. There's no weird sounds to the pulleys and cables when manually moving the scanner, so I think they're ok. I think there's an EPROM on the scanner board or the scanner board itself that I'm speculating
