Sharp MX 3100N U2-11 error code

I had been working on a sharp MX 3100N. Which had an error code of A0-15, I changed the DSK and got a U2-11 error code. I tried swapping the EEPROM from another board which was working perfectly but I got the same code, I then returned the EEPROM back to the original board and i got the same U2-11 error code. But this board worked perfectly before the eeprom swap and am sure I returned the right eeprom that was on the board. Both machines are down now with the same code. Please someone should help.

EEPROM are not interchangeable. They are electronically keyed to the machine. You would have had to swap the whole board. Do an emergency firmware on original board and see if that helps

you cannot swap dsk kit from machine to machine, product key is involved that is tied to serial number of mfp. u2-11 is cleared via sim 16, if eeprom is in backwards will have problem. serial number and product key is in eeprom, eeprom can only be reprogrammed by Sharp. if product key an d serial number are lost and you have no proff of purchase from sharp must buy new dsk kit.
