    [Error Code] mx 2610

    Error code f3-12 tray 1 prob. the motor is turning but display shows ''tray 1 ready to open'' even if there is paper in.

    Anyone seen this before ??

    Is the shaft bent? Sometimes it will have a slight bend and that prevents the gear from popping out and engaging properly.

      Test the sensors in the cassette. If either the paper empty sensor or the upper limit sensor is bad the lift motor will overdrive and code out.

        Agreed. Also check to see if the sensor flag is worn down.

          How do you reach those flag there is a plastic protector that covers them (clud1), by the way in sim 30 the sensor clud1 is hilighted even if if i take the cassette out.

            Take the steel plate off the back of the paper feed cassette

              That sounds like a probable bad sensor. They are not expensive and are known to fail. Replace them all while you have feed station out and save another headache from happening down the road.

                If the paper does not lift the upper limit sensor is bad.

                If paper lifts the paper empty sensor is bad.

                Replace both as stated to prevent another problem later.
