Working on this MX-M354N and it starts up I get the little spinning logo then it freezes and restarts. Ive updated the firmware with flipping the update switch on the MFP but still not working I am pretty sure its the SD card but Ive been looking on sharps site to find the boot program that goes on it and cant seem to find it. Anybody have these files or know where there at on the site? or if you think its something else? Thanks

Re: MX-354N Keeps Restarting
The actual files are not available for download, you must buy the programmed SD card from Sharp. (Big Business at it's worst )
or
Not saying this works but you might want to try a program called HDD Raw Copy Tool, you maybe able to copy a known good SD card for a 354 and copy it to a far less expensive blank SD card.Comment

Re: MX-354N Keeps Restarting
the hdd raw copy works well, If you copy an sd card from a customers machine , all their programing will be on the "bad copier (from experience). you will have to delete all scan settings, network settings. if you have a 354 that hasn't been setup or buy a sd card from sharp( I use as a master) wgould be better. also when you copy the sd card it will show over 8 gig for size and the new 8gig sd (non hdd) will, show 7.4 gig. when you do the copy the program will come up with an error stating the target card doesn't have enough space, just disregard the cloned sd card will work , I have several m264 running with off the shelf sd cards.
I also most of the bad sd cards are fine they just became corrupted. just reformat the sd with sd formatter, loaded large files and like 6 gig video file card worked fine. cloned the badcard with hdd raw copy ,put into an m264 about 4 months ago and it still is running fine. Hope this helps techs with getting around the hi
gh rate of sd card failures.Comment
