    MX-5001 N white dots on B/W prints

Hi, I have a problem with a MX-5001N. When printing in B/W there are white spots all over the page. But when printing in color there is no problem. This machine only have 67000 prints on B/W since the last developer change and only started to present this issue since 2 months ago.

Thank you for your help and advice.

What should I try then? Change the developer or the toner?

As a side note recently switched from a brand I do not remeber the name, but was printing fine and then started to use toner BlackStar and it was around that time when the prblems began.

So do a DV change. The new toner has a different density.

Looks like the developer to me as well.

Now If I'm not mistaken i am sure that this model sometimes is missing the upper developer seal, this can cause developer loss but the print defects don't look like spots, but more like diagonal bands.
You're doing 25-2 after developer replacement right?

This is most likely a result of switching to a different brand of toner without changing the developer. We found this to be the case and a lot of the black-and-white machine 363's and 283's especially
