I have a MX3140N that the customer called and said she was printing checks from the by-pass tray when it jammed and showed the L4-12 code.
When she removed the jam and closed the door to continue it would not detect paper or the size in the by-pass tray. At the same time it sent us the alert via email that it had the L4-12 and the F2-58 codes. The L4-12 deals with the secondary tansfer separation and the F2-58 deals with the temp/humidity sensor, both in the right side door. I see in the manual that both codes have a remedy of replacing the PCU PWB. One of our other tecks suggests just replacing the secondary transfer unit but I am leaning towards swapping out the whole right side door to see if that will fix or if it will be the PCU PWB. Does any one have any other advice? Thanks in advance.
