[Error Code] mx-m904 shows error only when output goes to off set tray

I'm baffled, I have a mx-m904 with a fn24 finisher, machine works fine going to top finisher tray only, if you try to feed to either saddle unit or offset tray it will say error on the job status tab as soon you try to print or copy, no jam or codes displayed only gives error message, age test and sensor test seem to be working with test command 3, I haven't tried the t.c where you can disable jam detection yet, will try that tomorrow, any other ideas? Thanks in advance.

Won't believe this, but problem end up being, it just needed staples? Why that matters when staple wasn't even selected is beyond me. It's fixed=happy camper.
