    [Misc] MX-M623N Hard Drive replacement

I'm doing a HDD surrender for a customer. I followed the procedure in the manual and backed up the drive, but I can't get back into simulation mode to restore data. When I power up the machine, it displays: Version Check 1cuM: ROM UNUSUAL.

How do I get to simulation mode?

Or-what's the best way to accomplish this HDD replacement? The machine just has to pass paper.

    Thanks

Looks like you lost your firmware. Reflash it with the emergency update procedure and you should be back to good.

Akitu is correct. However, I should add that you should be mindful on whether the mfp has a DSK installed, if it does, it will need a special firmware designated for that DSK.

      Good luck.
